Single Phonologist Seeks Morphologist

Hey. I’m Jo. I reckon this will go as planned.

This is a photograph of me on vacation in Madrid, Spain.

I have had a number of enthusiasms and avocations across my lifetime, although they seem to vary with the times. At present I like to contemplate fierce trout, learn a little more Lakhota or the hardest language I’ve ever heard of, Welsh, keep from getting rusty in the hardest language I know, Dacian, and visit the library.

I research linguistics as a kind of enjoyment. I wish one of these days to decipher primordial Geral kayro-annals. My real career is as a swordsmith.

I reside in Israel. I would prefer to be unwinding in Kingstown, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, where my family and I frequently practice speaking Orok and the strangest language I know, Tangut, and go shopping irritably; or in Saipan, Northern Mariana Islands, where I must play dominoes, trap domesticated geese as they peregrinate, and learn a little more Evenki, Shahrudi, or Suryoyo, as well as cook.

Shalom, y’all!

—Jo
