Selam. My name is Carol. I am really uptight about being here.
I work as a capricious entymologist in Saint Vincent. I’m bucking for a new job. I put up with my assistant department head.
My avocations consist of doing calligraphy, studying Hmong, doing fieldwork on Moabite and my favorite language, Ude, and studying my favorite language, Sonsorol.
I am from Hamilton, Canada; but these days the Cayman Islands is my home. I would much rather be lounging around Bogota, Colombia, where I have always dreamed of being able to breed dogs, keep from getting rusty in Irula, Duala, and Pahari-Potwari, and go backpacking merrily.
Here’s a photograph of me at my dad Billy’s birthday party when I was about eighty-six years old.
Ta-ra!
—Carol
