New Conlang for Linguists Developed

Researchers at the university of Tumbleweed, North Dakota, have announced the completion of their project to create a conlang especially for linguists. This new language, Amaprof, has been especially designed so that the words and phrases used most by linguists take the least effort to say, while those that are said the least take the most effort. Some example Amaprof phrases are found below.

• “I need coffee.” Adad
• “Don’t worry, I will refill the coffee jug so you can get a fresh one.” Fhdluhs ffluggugagruff
• “Your article is truly groundbreaking and much better than my own work.” Afflaflflflflaaf
• “My proposed study represents a paradigmatic shift in theoretical and field linguistics and should be funded.” Ba
• “Of course, I welcome constructive criticism of my work.” Dhh oawieug gdfty ewuyka tduytQF DIUA

The research team behind the language state that this will be of great help of linguists at all levels of their career and so deserves to receive more funding, or, as they put it: ag!
