The Linguists of Catan
The first of the genre of EuroSprachGames to achieve widespread popularity beyond the borders of Germany, The Linguists of Catan pits each player against a dearth of linguistic resources. Players build settlements and cities adjacent to hexes that produce the five resources nouns, verbs, adjectives, proforms, and particles, challenging them to create ConLang utterances using different combinations of these resources. Strategy and luck both play a role in making you the linguistic baron of the island of Catan!

Thurn and Taxonomies
Thurn and Taxonomies is set in Bavaria, where players create semantic postal routes based on the similarities of the goods they are to deliver. Use your imagination to establish a semantic category which includes such commodities as oranges, coal, Italian marble, French wines, organic llama dung, candied ginger, pine logs, Roman coins, and many more. Bonus points are awarded when your postal route coincides with the noun classes of a real human language.

Puerto Recorder
A linguistic fieldwork game in a New World plantation context, Puerto Recorder sets a new standard for the number of tiny pieces which can fall off the table and get lost. Informants on each player’s plantation supply one of a number of resources (vowels, consonants, nouns, verbs, folktales, songs, etc.), and players take turns initiating different phases of the game so as to collect the data they need. Collect your linguistic resources and turn them into papers, theses and dissertations before your competitors do; you may be awarded a Professorship at Puerto Recorder University! ❦पा
