George Orwell’s essay “Politics and the English Language”not unimportant impact on our lives as writers of English and programmers of computers. We were not unaware of the “bad habits” English is susceptible to, but Ole Georgie’s essay really opened our eyes! We are not unfortunate enough to be English majors, so we turned to our strengths in Computer Science, and wrote a program to help us follow Ole Georgie’s writing advice automatically. We founded Not UnLucky Software out of our dorm room so we could bring our creation to you, the unsuspecting public!
So far we’ve only been able to implement Ole Georgie’s prescription against not un- in the Auto-not unsubstantial, so we are releasing v0.0001-

It was til we took English 102, “The Essay and Its Resources” that we really recognized the scope of the problem
Given our special circumstances, how could we dertake this sacred mission? If not us, then who? Well, not Big Grammar (like Grammarly, Qordoba, Ginger, LanguageTool, and WebSpellChecker who prefer we dermine their grammar monopolies), iversity administrators, and surely Cle Sam!
We can derstand how no one has done this before, so we did it! And while we have only taken one small step, we can foresee the day the Grammarian’s Gordian K tangles completely under our assault on bad writing!
